A bold rebranding of a village called Pila turned locals into stars and a name into national headlines.

Just an hour from Croatia’s capital lies a small village with a name that turns heads - Pila, which in Croatian means ‘chainsaw.’ That curious fact sparked a bold idea: could we change such a name? Or better yet, could we add something to it? In collaboration with local authorities, we gave this legendary village a fresh identity, transforming it into the stage for a one-of-a-kind brand storytelling experiment. We cast the locals themselves as the stars, blending authenticity with creativity, and ignited the national media with an unconventional narrative that blurred the lines between place, people, and brand.
